<p>COLUMBIA — Columbia State Community College pinned 13 new emergency medical technicians and 28 advanced emergency medical technicians during its Fall 2025 EMS Pinning ceremony, held in the Cherry Theater on campus, according to the college. The fall cohort achieved a 100% first-attempt pass rate on the national registry exam — a remarkable benchmark that reflects the rigorous training the program demands.</p><p>Program Director Greg Johnson said the graduates trained hard, stayed focused, and showed they are ready to serve. Dean of Health Sciences Dr. Kae Fleming called EMS completers vital members of the healthcare team who provide essential pre-hospital care. Graduates of the accelerated AEMT path complete 144 hours of clinical rotations in a single semester before earning their technical certificate. These 41 men and women are now deployed across the region, ready to answer the call when families need them most.</p>
