The program challenges students to write original material and put their creativity on the line — and Harper delivered.</p><p>In a county that has now seen both a national American Idol winner visit its downtown square and a student songwriter honored by one of the most storied institutions in American music, it's safe to say Maury County has some serious musical roots.
