MT. PLEASANT — Fourth graders at Mt. Pleasant Elementary recently turned a classroom lesson into real-world experience by running their own lemonade stand, blending mathematics, business principles, and community interaction into a single afternoon.
The project gave students hands-on understanding of economics and entrepreneurship. Beyond the numbers and the pennies exchanged, it showed young people how effort, planning, and teamwork produce results. These are lessons no textbook alone can teach.
