The company, which has called Humboldt home for nearly four decades, is accelerating production of advanced transformers, voltage regulation systems, and grid-automation technologies to meet surging customer demand.
The announcement comes as Tennessee positions itself as a national hub for energy infrastructure manufacturing. Across the state, more than 115 German companies employ nearly 23,000 workers and have invested $7 billion in capital, making Germany one of Tennessee's top foreign direct investment partners. Reinhausen's expansion is part of that larger trend, reinforcing West Tennessee's role in America's energy future.
Reinhausen first planted roots in Tennessee in 1987 with operations in Alamo before relocating its U.S. headquarters to Humboldt a few years later. Today, the company operates on six continents with approximately 5,000 employees worldwide. The Humboldt facility has remained the company's U.S. hub ever since, making it a stable, long-term employer in a region where manufacturing jobs matter.
According to a statement from Reinhausen leadership, the expansion reflects the company's commitment to both its existing workforce and to Tennessee's future. The investment will strengthen production capacity for critical infrastructure that utilities depend on to distribute power reliably across the nation.
