<p>COLUMBIA — Three Columbia State Community College marketing students recently presented a tourism innovation project for the town of Fairview following their participation in the Tennessee Board of Regents Global Studies Iceland program, according to the college.</p><p>Students Gabby Curtis of Fairview, Xavier Viazcan of Lewisburg, and Montserrat Coronado of Spring Hill developed "Fairview on Two Wheels," a tourism prototype designed to position Fairview as a destination for cycling, rail bikes, outdoor recreation, and local business engagement. The comprehensive marketing campaign includes a fully developed website and strategic plan that outlines a bike trail system and rail bike dining experience while promoting local restaurants and attractions.</p><p>During their ten-week course, the students presented their Fairview concept to the University of Iceland and gained hands-on experience building marketing materials using AI tools, observing firsthand how towns market destination tourism in an international setting.</p>
