ALGOOD, LEV Manufacturing, a producer of light electric vehicles and e-bikes, will establish its first Tennessee facility in Putnam County, creating 288 jobs and investing $7 million in the community.

The company will acquire a 100,000 square foot production and distribution facility at 2415 Burton Branch Road in Algood, which will serve as LEV's primary U.S. assembly, logistics, and fulfillment center. The location will become critical to the company's multi-brand platform following Life EV Group's recent acquisition of Rad Power Bikes' assets. Beginning this year, the Tennessee operations will handle U.S. assembly and distribution of Rad Power Bikes, Serial 1 Cycle Company (the premium electric bicycle brand originally developed by Harley-Davidson), and Life EV branded e-bikes, as well as expansion into the e-delivery segment through Rad Life Mobility.

Founded in 2018 in Florida, LEV Manufacturing has grown aggressively through strategic acquisitions and brand consolidation. The Tennessee facility represents more than a warehouse move. The company has committed to partnering with Tennessee's research institutions to support product innovation, battery technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and workforce development initiatives. That commitment signals intent to embed itself in the local ecosystem rather than simply lease space.

The announcement reflects broader national momentum in electric vehicle manufacturing and the shift of production capacity closer to major U.S. markets. For Putnam County and the Upper Cumberland region, the project represents significant opportunity: 288 jobs that will support nearly 300 families, plus the economic activity generated by supply chain partners, logistics companies, and consumer spending. It also positions Tennessee as a manufacturing center for the electrified mobility economy that is reshaping American transportation.
