SPRING HILL, The Board of Mayor and Aldermen has approved a comprehensive 10-year capital improvement plan, setting priorities for public infrastructure spending across the fastest-growing city in Maury County.
The BOMA passed Resolution 26-115 this week after months of discussion, adopting an updated framework that lays out funding plans and projects in order of priority. The full plan is available for public review at springhilltn.org.
City officials noted that the plan excludes water and sewer projects, which operate under separate funding mechanisms and cannot be supported by general fund revenues. Spring Hill has faced ongoing infrastructure strain as its population has surged beyond 60,000 residents, up 340 percent since 2000. The capital improvement plan reflects the city's effort to balance growth with the public systems that make growth sustainable.
The BOMA's action comes as Spring Hill continues to manage rapid expansion. Earlier this year, the board also unanimously approved a sewer moratorium framework in December and opened Fire Station No. 4 in November, demonstrating the city's ongoing push to add capacity in critical services.
